Canyon Park

I’ve always felt that our center was unique in that no matter how many children we enroll, we never seem to lose that “family” atmosphere. Many of our staff have been with us for so long that they have watched a child start off in our infant room, go through the toddler stages, become a preschooler, graduate and go off to elementary school. We see baby number two come along and share in the pregnancy; we listen to Mom or Dad tell us about their new jobs; we share with them the anxiety of buying a new home. We know the child, the parents, the grandmas and grandpas… the whole family. And they soon become “our family.”

That was when I went to the grand opening of KiD’S COUNTRY’s first daycare in Burien, Washington.  The owner took a chance on me . . . believed in me . . . taught me everything she knew . . . and 21 years later, I have the daily privilege of participating in the growth of over 186 children, directing a dedicated staff of over 30 employees and being closely involved in the lives of so many families in our community.

Carol Snyder graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies.  Her employment with us began in 2000.
