Our center is unique because we provide consistent academic learning. Our skill building and morning groups consist of calendar, weather, and events that might be happening in the world around us. Our teaching structure also provides additional learning and training for our teachers that includes monthly training, STARS training, and one-on-one training with our Program Supervisor. With the development of our teachers’ curriculum, we are able to allow changes according to the needs of the children.
Jody Hagler, the Director of the Monroe facility, has been in daycare for 14 years. She also has three children of her own. Jody graduated from Redmond High School and received my Early Childhood Education degree from Lake Washington Vo-Tec. She is excited to be part of the management team in Monroe and looks forward to meeting and working with all of the children and families.
Patty Presley is the Program Supervisor for our Monroe center. After leaving Corporate America in 1997, a brand new door opened in early childhood that she just had to go through. A dear friend introduced her to the Child Development Home program with the United States Navy. She walked through this door and was able to spend 6 years—from 1997 to 2003—working in home care as well as other early childhood care programs for military families. This opportunity allowed her to discover the wonderful world of teaching children how to play and learn. It also gave her the opportunity to complete her CDE training through the military which sharpened her skills by requiring hard work and continued learning. In 2003 Patty relocated to Philadelphia, PA where she worked as a Lead Teacher and Asst. Director for a private preschool. When her husband retired from the military in 2007, they settled in Monroe and Patty came to work for Kid’s Country. She’s been with the company since 2008 and is excited to be a part of the village that it takes to raise the children in our community.
